Nurses who are not ready to deal with these changes will automatically reduce passion and quality of service to patients. In the concept of adaptation, Sister Callista Roy said that the output in this adaptation system is in the form of individual behavioral responses that can be assessed by nurses both objectively and subjectively. This behavioral response can be feedback for the individual and the environment. So this study aims so that nurses who carry out rotations can adopt and implement Roy's adaptation theory, The maximum use of coping mechanisms develops a person's level of adaptation and increases the range of stimuli so that they can respond positively. Rotations that will definitely present a new environment can increase individual adaptability or minimize the risks that will occur in individuals against changes. Policies from the hospital management are very influential on the success of the rotation program, prioritizing the importance of improving the quality and competence of nurses.
Heni Suhaeni Agus Cahyono Kholis Maria Ulfa Titi Rahmawati Satriya Pranata Siti Aisyah ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2023-04-20 2023-04-20 5 2 1 6 10.7575/ijahm.v5i2.58 The Correlation of Knowledge and Attitude With Community Compliance In 5M Health Protocol Implementation http://ijahm.com/index.php/IJAHM/article/view/90
COVID-19 is a disease that is currently endemic in almost all parts of the world. Based on data from the Riau Province COVID-19 Task Force, it is known that Tampan District is the area with the highest number of COVID-19 cases because the implementation of the 5M Health Protocol by the community has not run optimally, health promotion is still lacking, and Tampan District is also an area with cross-border Kampar Regency. Community adherence to COVID-19 prevention health protocols is influenced by knowledge about COVID-19 and attitudes towards COVID-19. The objective of the research was to determine the correlation between knowledge and attitudes and community compliance in 5M health protocol implementation in Sidomulyo Health Center in Pekanbaru City in 2022. This study was an analytic observational study by using cross sectional study design. The sampling technique used was Accidental Sampling with a sample size of 40 people. Data analysis was carried out by bivariate analysis with the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that there was a correlation between knowledge and attitudes (p-value = 0.000; r = 0.616), knowledge and compliance in 5M health protocol implementation (p-value = 0.000; r = 0.569 ), and attitudes with compliance in 5M health protocol implementation (p-value = 0.000; r = 0.525) in the community. There was a correlation between knowledge and attitudes about COVID-19 and community compliance in 5M health protocol implementation with a positive direction and a strong correlation in the community in the Sidomulyo Health Center in Pekanbaru City in 2022.
Tyagita Widya Sari Ajeng Dwi Mega Sarie Alfira Fitradika Hazizul Hazizul Ria Finola Ifani Sonia Mutiara Fadilah ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2023-09-30 2023-09-30 5 2 6 15 10.7575/ijahm.v5i2.90 Effects of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program on Mental Health of Non-Clinical Older Adults: A Systematic Review on Randomized Controlled Trials http://ijahm.com/index.php/IJAHM/article/view/105
Background: Aging may result in many physical and mental health challenges that need to be diagnosed and treated. Untreated mental illness is associated with many major health issues, which may be the cause of premature mortality. Nowadays, many non-pharmacological means are being implemented to find out their benefits for mental and physical wellness. Objective: The present study reviewed the randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with the purpose of investigating the effects of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program on mental health of non-clinical older populations. Methods: Initially, 518 studies were identified through five electronic databases such as CINAHL, PubMed, PubMed Central, ScienceDirect, and Scopus among which finally, seven RCTs published between 2009-2018 were considered based on meeting the adopted inclusion criteria. The risk of bias and quality of the studies were assessed by the Jadad scale. Results: A total of 997 participants with a mean age of over 40 years from four different countries like the USA, Sweden, Taiwan, and China were included in the current systematic review among them, 482 participated in the MBSR program of 4-8 weeks as intervention group. The studies considered the mental issues viz. anxiety, mindfulness, perceived stress, depression, distress, coping, psychological well-being, quality of life, etc. as dependent variables. The majority of the studies found significant improvement in mindfulness, anxiety, psychological distress, and psychological well-being among non-clinical older adults. Conclusion: Despite the variety in the basic features of the MBSR program, this review study concludes that the MBSR program is effective for improving the overall mental health of non-clinical older adults.
Nita Bandyopadhyay Tuhin Das Ankur Biswas Dibyendu Mondal ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2023-09-30 2023-09-30 5 2 16 23 10.7575/ijahm.v5i2.105 Physical Activity and Frailty in Aging: A Bibliometric Investigation http://ijahm.com/index.php/IJAHM/article/view/109
Background: Frailty poses a significant risk to the functional abilities and overall health of older adults, often leading to a decline in physical function. There was a positive impact of regular physical activity on muscle strength, aerobic capacity, and balance in older adults, including those with frailty. However, many of these studies have not precisely defined or measured frailty in their populations. Objective: This study seeks to examine the publishing patterns related to physical activity and frailty and rank the most frequently used author keywords in the Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases. Methods: This study utilizes the renowned software tools ScientoPy, VOSviewer, and Biblioshiny to analyze and process the relevant publication data. Results: The results reveal an encouraging trend in the growth of literature on physical activity and frailty in the databases since 1991. The country analysis indicates that the United States has emerged as an active publisher in this field, followed by Japan and Spain. These trends provide valuable insights for researchers, aiding them in identifying key areas of focus, proactive institutions, and core source titles that have contributed to the existing knowledge on physical activity and frailty. Conclusion: This knowledge can guide researchers in exploring new avenues of investigation and understanding the evolving landscape of physical activity and frailty research.
Azliyana Azizan Natasha Ahmad Nawawi Triana Karnadipa Shahrizal Che Jamil ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2023-09-30 2023-09-30 5 2 24 37 10.7575/ijahm.v5i2.109
